(IMO), Nope. Just mm's spiking the price up-ward and downward to keep the public interested in the stock. Additionally in my opinion, lots of traders could end up being whipsawed (shaken-out, or brought-in) by these types of moves.

But, it certainly appears to keep one's interest and trades moving. Who knows? Just my opinion.
