I think you are underplaying the vast potential and market that just Photovoltaics will have in the future. The market just in the US is staggering. It is also a field rich in job creation, not only for installation but for service. panels will go bad and need to be changed, upgrades will need to done,Storm damage will need to be repaired and even R&Ring the panels to replace your roof shingles will be a factor.The unknown is what to do with our existing old and archaic grid. Now most systems feed their excess into the grid but eventually systems will be set up in self sufficient groups, hopefully leaving behind the need for this giant inefficient and insecure grid system
