The internet is alive with stories about nicotine being the reason that most hospitalized covid-19 patients are non-smokers. The theory is that nicotine may be minimalizing smokers' symptoms so they are recovering at home.
The other story is " don't start smoking to possibly minimalize your symptoms should you get the coronavirus" because smoking can kill you.
