why everyone is so excited about PLX cells and covid? It's not like there will be massive dosing.

Because it will move a small, relatively unknown Israeli company into the position of being the premier stem cell company, and because it will be the first time that stem cells will have been proven as a valid new therapeutic tool. You can only guess the effect that will have on the valuation, irrespective of how many doses are be sold.

Calculating the number of patients at this point is rather futile. Too many unknown variables such as:

1. Do you give the cells to patients only in extreme condition, or early on to prevent serious damage. If the latter, you increase the number of patients by an order of magnitude.

2. For all the flattening of the curve, we don't really know how many patients will need the cells, will there be a recurrence of very high infection rates in the fall, in the spring?

3. As far as number of patients, will you add the needs of China, India, Russia, the whole of the Eu.

4. Will the cells be used as a general pneumonia drug?

As I said before, there's not going to be a shortage of patients.

If Pluristem moves the still shadowy medicine of stem cells into big time, the reward will be very impressive. We still need to move out of the realm of copper bracelets for cancer, to real SOC medicine in ANY indication, with pneumonia as a pretty good start.
