I'm actually surprised at what a bright shiny object the HealthID thing has become. Of all the things they have ever announced, this seems to me to be by far the least likely to go anywhere. Even ignoring all the potential legal challenges and the fact that they can't even get their own financial data in order, who is going to partner with them? Why would any business or pharma company partner with them when any major tech company could build this system in no time, if they haven't already? Why go with QMC when the other options have all have superior technical and financial resources, existing products and existing software customers that would dramatically simplify integration, not to mention a track records of success?

The lawyers listed as representing the planitiffs the case with the School district suing them are both tax collectors. Why was their right to transact business in Texas forfeited if also not for tax problems? Who is going to hand their healthcare data over to a company that doesn't pay it's taxes or file required financial reports?

What exactly is the advantage that QMC is selling that is going to overcome this?
