AMD Brisbane overclocking

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=126558

Evidently, it's a 4800+ running at 2.5GHz, but the mainboard doesn't support the half multipliers, so it appears like it's a 5000+. Seems to run fine regardless.

Stock: 2.6GHz @ 1.232V
Highest Frequency: 3.1GHz @ 1.384V
Lowest Voltage: 2.6GHz @ 1.096V

The poster claims it didn't overclock very much without the HSF used from his FX-74 @ 6000 RPM. At least, it couldn't hit 3.0GHz without it.

Brisbane doesn't seem to be able to outpace 90nm equivalents today, but it's not far behind, either. The skuing it lower than 90nm, but that could easily be a conscious decision by AMD with the aim of lowering their costs on their mainstream lines before moving it upward. These aren't exactly great results, but they aren't poor results, either. Still, with most overclockers hitting higher speeds with an E6300 (let alone the X6800s, which can clock up to and beyond 3.8GHz), it seems clear who has the better 65nm process, at least today.
