BD/anyone - what could happen if the $2m Alembic loan is not repaid by 31 December 2006. Would that finish us off or are there safe guards for extensions etc? Would Chassman be in the frame again?

Further to the post earlier on about the Gates foundation, if that's true then their perception of sickle cell disease in Africa needs to be modified/set straight? Surely a pro-active programme on SCD in Africa would be cost effective for each African country, over the long term?
