Quote: So you mention common sense, the silver platters I believe would have been stored in the captains quarters, since they were a gift for his wife. Of course I might be wrong. I'm sure that would have been the Only three silver objects in his quarters, or in the sterncastle? Yeah the three platters and cannon, pistol, all floated along on just floatsom.few planks still held together with just a crap load of spikes and a 4' spike. Couldn't have been anything else.. wrong. I'll wait and see what they find. Of course it only matters to some of us that own shares. JMO

Its rather pointless to belabor the issue in detail but you're obviously ignorant of the fact there are many documented instances of shipwreck flotsam (of large proportion) separating from the main body and drifting for miles before settling somewhere else. In each instance the content were significantly interesting. A few examples;

1622 "N.S. Atocha", Marquesa Keys, Florida (flotsam with content eventually located miles away)
1630 "San Joseph, Pacific side of Panama (Flotsam with content eventually located miles away)
1641 "N.S. Concepcion, Silver Bank north of Dominican Republic. (flotsam with content located miles away).
1656 "San Francisco Xavier", Cadiz, Spain. (flotsam with content eventually located miles away)

These are but a few documented examples. Too much time spent making a point and at the same time freely educating novices.
