Why is the Microsoft patent a good thing? Because it relies on Microvision's existing patented work in order to function. That means that in order for Microsoft to use its patent, it will need to either own MVIS or license MVIS's patented property. It is a very clear sign of intent to invest in MVIS, either MVIS the company or MVIS's intellectual property.
