ACH transfer might not work at TDA for stocks under 5 dollars. You can trade there immediately for stocks over 5 dollars but for stocks under you need to wait until it clears, 4 or 5 days. A wire transfer will work I think.

Only takes 1 day to open and fund a TDA acct. Just gotta do a ACH transfer.
