That would be the point.

The company would no longer exist, IF theoretically the purpose was to get to the point of dumping the shares and leave the investors high and dry.

The actors involved would take the money and run. Depending on the PPS it could be in the millions.

IMO all scenarios should be entertained. Of course, it is up to you to determine what is the best course of action you will take with your money.
