They are checking for the antibodies that our immune system produces to fight off the virus. Not the virus itself. Basicly, they are checking to see if you have ever had the virus. To my knowledge, a nasal swab is the only way to test for the actual virus. Like I said in the original post, if someone has a link or information that they are using blood to check for the virus, please show me. I was not able to find that they were using blood except to check for the antibodies.
