He was probably referencing the Chinese. In the last few months they have demonstrated to the world their competence, knowledge, and honesty NOT!
But, skipping over the sarcasm, these last few months have been a major game changer. This pandemic will be over eventually and markets will come back. Estimates of prices, market share, and demand that were made in 2019 or before will be proven wrong. The demand for raw materials produced in the US will go up. The prices for raw materials produced in the US will go up. The market share for them will go up. If the choice is US or China these will all go up a bunch.
