Sad fact is that Remdesivir is only effective in the early stages of infection, otherwise it does not reduce mortality. The drug is delivered via IV and by the time the cytokine storm had set in its too late. Remdesivir is not a ARDS drug, not even close.

Remdesivir is a political placebo for the AMERICAN public to feel safe in opening the economy again. One could argue the placebo will kill more than it could possible ever save. What happened to oath of “first do no harm”?

Sad, very sad.
