Watch this video of Fauci saying that Remdesivir is now the standard of care for Covid19 but he explained his reasoning. At the end he said they are thinking of doing another trial that would combine the anti-viral drug Remdesivir with another "anti-inflammatory drug which is a monoclonal antibody" which is exactly Leronlimab. This may extend the timeline for another trial but maybe teaming up with a large pharma will help them execute it quickly with a large sample size and increased visibility.
