Remdesivir results—according to CNBC reporter, Meg Tirrell:

Dr Fauci shared some details from the NIAID remdesivir study just now in the Oval Office, per pool report:

Primary endpoint of trial was time to improvement-
11 days on remdesivir vs 15 days on placebo
Fauci: “quite good news”

Primary endpoint of time to recovery (median values): Remdesivir 8 days; placebo 11 days. This difference was statistically significant with a 31% relative risk reduction (i.e. HR=0.69 using the conventional method of reporting hazard ratios where lower numbers are better) and a p-value of 0.001.

Secondary endpoint of mortality (median values): Remdesivir 8%; placebo 11%. This difference was not statistically significant.
