That's your biggest buggaboo.

The idealism in youth should not be so readily crushed by the status quo...

To me it once again becomes a matter of education as a form of innoculating the individual against the destructive nature of reaching for partial or even singular interests.

The whole picture must be fully represented and each link fully cognizant of their function and importance.

What we have now in government is like a badly aligned spine. The pressure is off some vertabrae, but pinching others, and creating compensatory actions. It puts the whole thing off though and limits function and mobility.
