Regarding the residue that may be left from disinfectants, I actually prefer that no residue be left behind. If the viral particals (virions) can be killed quickly, which Coronavirus is a type of virion that the outer shell is easily broken down, then it may be better to not leave a residue.
There are individual's in our society that are very susceptible and reactive to chemical residues, fumes, odors etc. If the PCTL mist or fog can deactivate the Coronavirus by destroying the outer shell and not leave a significant residue, then it might be a triple bonus:
1. destroys the virion outer shell rendering the virus inactive,
2. does not harm those who are sensitive to chemical residues, and
3. possibly prevents other bacteria that comes in contact with the mist or fog from mutating into super bacteria that we see today from over use of disinfectants and antibiotics.
Sometimes less is more. If a disinfectant can do the job, and not have other negative unintended consequences and side effects, from my perspective, that would be most desired.
I have not taken a detailed look into the cleansers that PCTL uses so this is just from my personal and professional experience and is mostly my opinion. But I do have personal and professional experience with chemicals, removal of chemicals from the air and struggles with my own chemical sensitivities. Chemical sensitivities and an inability to use masks is a real thing and is recognized in the mask literature and use protocols. So hopefully the chemical that PCTL is using gets in, does it's job and does not leave any potentially harmful residue that might affect individuals who are or are not at risk of chemical exposures.
