This morning I had difficulty on what my morning reading would be, after spending a couple of weeks studying 1 & 2 Peter I was sort of at a loss as to where to go next, then I was led to Acts, OH ME ! should allow for a couple of weeks of serious study, just wish I was smart enough to absorb what I was reading & studying. All that being said to let you know a little of how my mind runs -- I started and immediately had to read the very opening a couple of times and got to thinking.....

The Holy Spirit Promised
4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Now here is where my mind got to thinking---Thinking that most of these guys were just regular ordinary fellows, most not well educated and very little understanding of what Jesus was saying..... The Holy Spirit, dare I say---taking over their life and the leader, Jesus, leaving, I just could not get past the idea of how at a loss these guys must be and they really did not know what to think----great misunderstanding....Like the future holds what we do not know. They had to be at a total loss to understand what Jesus was telling them.---"You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes has come upon you."-----I wonder where their mind ran off to---suppose that was you or me?
