Looks like France is set to overtake Spain in the number of deaths, this, after the the government announced reduced confinement measures.

Makes no sense. There were images of Paris streets packed with people TODAY and the confinement hasn't yet been lifted.

In my small community I saw a group of about 10 people socializing, with no regard for distance or masks or anything.

Target date for confinement measures to be eased is May 11, but people have taken that to mean that they can do anything they want NOW.
