Search light rented properties to GNCP for huge dollars paid in GNCP monopoly money. GNCP decided not to do any exploration as was stated very clearly, multiple times in years of filings.
The cost of the claims for searchlight was pennies compared to the dollars GNCP ahs paid for them. Cost has tripled with claim fees, interest and dividends.
Searchlight can simple take them back the properties anytime since the fees are not paid, leaving GNCP with nothing. But why bother when the properties are not worth anything. Maybe some suckers will buy some converted shares. If a real property buyer comes around, they can just cancel the rental agreement for lack of payment and sell them.
