Good points. It will be interesting to see the new dynamics post covid. The mundane silk market has already seen demand slow down. This has decreased the price of silk. A lot of the new wave of silk infrastructure investments over the last few years in Quang Nam was predicated on the resurgence of the silk industry and increasing price of silk.

Mundane silk will have a tough time maintaining high enough margins to sustain all the new infrastructure. Fortunately for Kraig Labs, their silk will be at a premium and can hold those margins. I'm wondering if Ken Le will see this as an opportunity to increase his partnerships with struggling mulberry co-ops with an over supply of mulberry. It will be an interesting situation to see play out. But regardless, I think Kraig Labs will need all the mulberry they can get which is good news for the farmers who will need someone to sell to.
