If you really want an answer to that, do some serious Due diligence. I'm not going to straight up tell you there is absolutely nothing here. But IMO there are some serious red flags that would seem to scream, this is a house of cards, that is one sneeze away from collapse and put any retirement money that you care about somewhere else. And especially at these levels, only park any play money that you are willing to lose everything on, here.
Everyone, including the company, keeps preaching about all this great and wonderful proprietary patented technology Kronos company has. Study the patents, they say. Given, that current management are all approaching or multiple years past retirement age. The original inventor and main brain behind the original technology(which is already 12-15 years behind the current technology curve) doesn't seem to be with the company any longer. And as such, given that fresh patents can take years to get approved, the success and livelyhood of the company and it's business model would seem to hinge on licensing the "current" technology contained within any patents they currently have in their possession.
That said, This is a list of all of their current patents as cut and pasted from the most recent filing. Most, but not all corroborate with the list of patents listed on the company website. Each of the links below it correspond to the respective patent numbers on the list, except the first one. it actually contains a typo that changes the patent number by one digit. I corrected it so that the link takes you to the correct patent Data on the united states patent and trademark office website.
These links wont take you to the patent itself. They take you to respective pages on the official patent website that gives specific information on the current status of each patent. Once there, direct your attention to the reddish pink box on the right half of the screen, before reviewing the rest of the information on the page. Ultimately you will have to make all of your own decisions, but here is a place to start with factual due diligence...
