whassup & kippykai...don't mean to interrupt... but a heavy equipment operator bud of mine worked on one of the "peaker power plants" that only fire up when there is a demand. He worked 7 days a week...10 -12 hours a day. Needless to say...there was massive OT for him and all the other trades needed to build these plants. I believe this particular one had 8 natural gas fired turbines. Anyway... he was told by one of the power company big wigs that the money it cost for materials & labor to build one of these plants...could be recouped in something like a week of power production. I saw at least 4 of these plants go up in a 30 mile radius of where I lived at the time in Illinois. So... IMO...I believe there is a demand...somewhere on the power grid.
