I have never felt good holding shares of LP's or MLP's outside of an IRA or other tax deferred account. Held some KMI back when it was KMP and when the first tax year rolled around and I got the K-1 was when I started turning the taxes over to the CPA in the family. Let them plug it into their programs to sort out all of the foreign dividends, UBTI, etc. But I hold a lot of ET in a tax deferred account and automatically reinvest all distributions, so don't mind getting a lot more shares down at these levels as the distributions come out.
