New here but just adding another layer to this. The mechanism of action isn’t specific to Covid19. Its blunting a cytokine mediated disease process that essentially triggers such a massive physiological response that the body cannot handle it and succumbs to respiratory and cardiovascular collapse. On a basic level

Now....think ARDS or sepsis syndrome! We have very little to treat these disease processes other than aggressive IV fluid replacement and early broad spectrum antimicrobial therapy.

This could be a total game changer in these two disease state management areas...massive opportunity
