SWiss, You need to research what an MBS, more specifically RMBS, is and how it relates to Lehman. Any MBS carried from 2008 is more than likely worthless here 12 years later due to the nature of the product.

LBHI bought mortgages and packaged them as RMBS, to be sold to investors. Lehman was sued by those investors and those investors were awarded a claim against the estate.

Lehman does not have any MBS on their balance sheet. They are suing the originators of those mortgages they bought to repackage.

Here is an article that touches on that; https://www.financialserviceswatchblog.com/2018/10/lehman-brothers-seeks-to-expand-lawsuits-against-loan-originators/

When doing research you don't want to stop that research once you get to a point that supports your agenda. I speak of MBS but you don't know how MBS/RMBS products work nor how Lehamn fits in to them.
