I am currently reading a book about the 1918 influenza

It's interesting to note that even in 1918 the flu became a worldwide pandemic, without the huge movement of people flying around the world on any given day.

The advantage we today is the science, that was able to sequence the viral RNA, and start the development of vaccines and other means of blocking the virus once the infection takes place.

Science is beginning to understand how Covid 19 attaches itself to cells, and hopefully that will lead to significant improvement of the disease progression, in lieu of the vaccine to come (soon I hope).

Pluristem will (I expect) make a great contribution to push the outcomes in a good direction.
