A list of companies I track every day:

It shows today's performance. I download 13 months of performance data on all those stocks every day. I also download the same number of ETFs (and equivalent).

I choose what I trade from that list below. There were better stocks than TEVA today.

There is a symbol on that chart which several years ago had the same financial problems that TEVA has now: spending too much money over many years of acquiring companies and creating too much debt in the process. That other company's symbol is now BHC, and was changed to that by its savior CEO who was hired specifically to restructure the company, sell off many of it parts, and save it from going belly-up.

He did that pretty well, but it took a few years. So it and TEVA have a lot in common. I traded that other company quite a bit while it was trading flat (during its restructuring period), and I made a lot from that specifically because I am not a buy_&_holder. Prior to that flat (restructuring and recovery) period, I think it traded well over $100/sh. Those people who bought that company way back then are probably still in the hole on that "investment".

When choosing companies to trade (not keep), logic doesn't always work. I chose TEVA to trade (not just hold) because it's a drug company; and the last time I checked, the demand for drugs does not decrease during a time when the whole world is getting sick and many are dying from that disease. So that's all I trade for now; two accounts, in and out, and sell CCs often for additional income and risk reduction. TEVA's price will go up and down -- as it certainly did during February and March -- and I'll try to take advantage of both directions.

So far, so good; buy the stock, wait, wait, sell the Calls. Sometimes the shares get assigned; and sometimes TEVA actually goes down and by quite a bit (like cut in half in three weeks). So far, so good; between stock and CCs, been averaging 4+% gains every week. Sure glad I wasn't holding it when it dropped from over $13.50 to below $6.50! Still want to hold it through Friday?
