Since the machine will need someone to monitor it for alcohol levels, theft and registration of new members, they would be able to stop the customer or sale. This isnt a Redbox to drop on a corner and forget. Someone buying it for someone doesnt seem reasonable since theres a paper trail of who bought what, and if theres an accident, your purchase history is available to police and youd be charged under those dram laws along with the bar. Do you buy alcohol for your friends that are already completely hammered in public and turned down by a bartender? There are apparently seven states that dont have dram laws, and read California recently overturned theirs.
Yea, i never saw much market for tobacco (i dont remember if i brought that up or you did) because of those reasons, and the fact its not a highly sought after market anymore (that ive seen). I get the liquor licenses as well, ive looked at opening a bar and worked in a liquor store for 3 years.

I mean if they can stay focused on a few core items, they dont need to go crazy trying to move every state legislature or bog down a system with multiple sku's. There are already a good amount of states that present an open market.
