Suadi has not actually made the statement an official one yet but they have implied that if US pulls out of Irag than they would have an interest in becoming involved as to hold of Iran which could send oil prices through the roof.

I understand that these are only speculative statements by Saudi and are not put out there as a policy statement yet or may never be.
