So rather than just dissing on someone's perspective

He didn't present it as perspective. He presented it matter-of-factly as if he knew the science (which he doesn't, even though it's basic o-chem). That is dangerous to spread misinformation around. And good science doesn't care what your perspective or opinion is.

For someone who holds everyone else on this board to the highest degree of proof, I would have thought he would hold himself to those same standards.

If it was anyone else, I probably wouldn't have said anything.
