Retrocausal Quantum Switch
Any science fiction nerds in here?
In theory this experiment would receive information from the future.
The image at the bottom was taken from the following video and is the first of 3 ideas for the experiment.
1. The video explains a famous experiment (Delayed Choice Quantum Eraser) that has apparently demonstrated in many labs, 2 entangled photons sending information back in time to each other. Watch the video to understand how the next two parts work.
2. One of the entangled photons is sent through Lene Hau’s Bose-Einstein condensate device to increase the amount of time the experiment would be able to reach into the future to pull back information. The following two videos explain how her device accomplishes this.
3. The beam splitter is replaced by the mirror / window switch and is the part that would select what information to send back in time. It would be connected to a computer that would switch it between a mirror or a window depending on the outcome of an event in the future. The first application that comes to mind is connecting it to a high frequency trading system.
