You're only seeing it from your side.
Your 12.50 a month isn't even advfn lunch money. The ads are. So as a paid member you demanded and got a reduction of ads that reduces advfn's bottom line.
These freebie junkets are not only good will, but they will increase ad revenue from the extra people that will replace the revenue your 12.50 month loses. Not counting how many will like the place and join as a paid sub.
Giving more people the chance to try things, and more people positively effecting the SEO advertising bling and hopefully steering them toward other services like L2 and such.
Advfn has probably lost more on your two month sub than any free thing they offer given there's probably a vast amount of subs who do not pay for any other service.
So, I think your idea to cancel, losing the month or more you already paid for is a good solution if it makes you happy. They don't give refunds here.
But someone just mentioned a while ago the idea to give paid members who had already been paying, a equivalent break on their renewal sub which would be staggered to each members dates. It sounds like a fair idea but advfn/ihub have the numbers to know it it would work.
