JM Barry is great. I have his "The Great Influenza: The Story of the Deadliest Pandemic in History".

Interestingly, Goodreads has both JM Barry and JM Barrie... both are favourites of mine. And, both have a similiar quote.

Either way, I first saw Hillary use it many years ago and she attributed it to her father. Don't know who it actually came from first, but, I really like Hillary's fathers version. The version attributed to JM Barry. It's a great quote. ;)
