I think he was banking on a much higher spike from his PR and Social Media blitz to dump into and raise funds to grow the company.

It didn't happen, nobody fell for it

Funny how last October he came roaring out of the darkness like they were ready. Then shut it all down again. Then corona comes along with the nail in the coffin
