Whats real? Either NY did a crappy job or California/Washington performed an incredible job so far.

1. Not sure what you mean. It's all real.

2. It isn't about who did a crappier job or who did an incredible job, it is about making decisive broad moves at early in the infection cycle. NYC never had a chance, see point three

3. NY City is very densely populated and the subway is widely and highly used. It also has a lot of foreign visitors. Those are reasons why coronavirus spread so quickly and so broadly. Hell, in the 1960s, the US army used the NYC subway as a testing ground to show how quickly biological weapons could be spread there. Here is a link to the disgraceful and dangerous military experiments.

Army scientists concluded that it took between four and 13 minutes for train passengers to be exposed to the bacteria. Five minutes after bacteria were released at 23rd Street Station, the bacteria could be detected at every station between 14th Street and 59th, according to the report. Between June 6 and June 10, they calculated that more than a million people were exposed.

Bonus. Just look at Louisiana and the crapstorm they are under due to a 2 week Mardi Gras. They being hammered but at least New Orleans took quick followed by the Governor to shut down the state. The problem is Mardi gras is the "gift" that is still giving as people who attended it spread the virus across the country. I give them a pass or a partial pass Mardi Gras started February 25th and those in control of the federal government were still downplaying the virus at that time. However, DeSantis of Florida refused to closes down beaches even though he was being urged to do so and spring breakers packed the state. They are spreading the virus in Florida and much of the country. Amazingly, Florida is not yet under a shelter-in-place order.
