Killer Science @ Algernon Pharmaceuticals

Dr. Mark Williams PhD MDA

This (Ifenprodil) could actually be broadly protective for not just the COVID-19 outbreak but potentially future other pathogenic respiratory viruses or infections.

Dr. KSS MD PhD

The clinic is crying out for an agent that helps in that way. Obviously steroids only have limited efficacy and that's almost all the clinic has to use.

Christopher J. Moreau CEO

What we've basically been talking about here and working on the last few days is dramatically changing the face of Algernon. Expanding our work around Ifenprodil. Coronavirus is the most serious but we believe that if it has an impact on corona it'll have an impact on Influenza and last year there were 29 million Americans that contracted the flu 15 thousand fatalities. What's alarming about corona is it's mortality rate. Comparatively speaking it's so much higher.

Christopher J. Moreau CEO

Every CEO wants to control their destiny. I don't want to wait for the phone to ring. We are moving forward with confidence and let's do the killer science. As Mark Williams has always said, let's find out since the compound is safe we can go with confidence and start introducing it into people who have this illness and let's find out if it actually has a positive effect.

CDC Infographic

CDC

CDC estimates that influenza was associated with more than 35.5 million illnesses, more than 16.5 million medical visits, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths during the 2018–2019 influenza season. This burden was similar to estimated burden during the 2012–2013 influenza season.

The Killer Flu

The worst pathogen in human history, however, is by far influenza. “If there is a virus that keeps me up at night, it’s influenza. I put it at the top of the list from a worldwide standpoint,” says Dr. John Swartzberg, clinical professor emeritus of infectious diseases and vaccinology at the University of California—Berkeley School of Public Health.

The main reason: This virus mutates every year, making it virtually impossible to fully defend against.

I think you saw a burning bush this weekend and...

it's the real management coup de grâce.

A coup de grâce sounds a lot like Killer Science to me...hmm
