TMPS,,, SO BASICALLY IT'S KIND OF SIMPLE!
Here's the long & short of it,,,
This time there's virtually no way Omega can screw us over with a protest!
The whole bidding process was changed so that Omega's bids & our bids can not impact each other! Both companies will have an opportunity to win a contract TOTALLY INDEPENDANT of the other.
last year we (TriStar/TMPS) won the long term contract.
Omega was given ANOTHER short term extension & realized that the Navy was ending their 20 year relationship with them. This realization prompted Omega to lodge a complaint with the Navy which was denied.
They issued another complaint with the GAO at which point the Navy realized Omega was ready to waste time & take it to court.
So the Navy terminated our contract & offered both parties, & anybody else a chance to re-enter bids for the A2A Refueling contracts,,, AFTER THE NAVY CHANGED THE PROCESS.
Very simply the new process allows for more that one company to win a contract. Each company submitting a bid will have an opportunity to win based on their own merits.
If a company can not satisfy the Navy's needs they will have address their own shortfalls & CAN'T BLAME ANYONE ELSE!
I'm sure Omega will be OK. They can refuel the pump trucks that fill our TriStars with jet fuel.
I fully expect that with in the next couple weeks the Navy will announce that, "ONCE AGAIN" TriStar/TMPS has won a major contract to provide Air To Air Refueling Services. Actually I'm looking at no later than AFTER HOURS, Friday, April 3rd at 5:32pm
I'm READY. Did my last cluster of buys over the past 2 weeks. I sure wasn't going to sit back & wait on the inevitable announcement & chase to buy scraps from .88 to $1.23 as it flies.
NO ,, I'm not a stock advisor & will NOT tell anyone else to BUY!
BUT,,, I did stay at a Holliday Inn Express & can only wonder why anyone wouldn't BUY all the shares of TMPS they can.
Like I said, when it comes right down to it, the long & short of it ,,,
"Matter of time, nothing more, nothing less!"
