if you think it's a virus...

close out of everything. make sure nothing's running in 'applications' in task mgr.
restart your computer in safe mode (F8). If it's a virus it should be inactive in Safe Mode.
Scan with your anti-virus in safe mode. Delete anything it finds.
Restart and rescan in normal mode.

(hopefully it's not the dreaded Coronacomputervirus. In which case quarantine your computer for two weeks.)
