Serologic tests are not diagnostic. They test for antibodies (which the human body takes about a week once infected to produce), and are mostly used to tell if someone has had the virus & recovered.
PCR (ie, swab) tests are diagnostic. They test for the virus, and are mostly used to tell if someone has caught the virus. These are the ONLY tests that the FDA has approved to date.
You can't really compare the two tests.
