JMP Securities

NEW YORK, October 7 (New Ratings) - Analyst Krishna Shankar of JMP Securities initiates coverage of Transmeta Corporation (TMTA) with a "strong buy" rating. The target price is set to $5.00.

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that Transmeta Corporation is expected to launch its Efficeon processor on October 13. The analyst expects this processor to boost the company's revenues and increase its market share by 5% in the mobile PC segment.
