Today seems right for the award announcement. But the reasons are not very strong.

1. We saw the award on a Thursday last April, and then the market was closed for Good Friday and the weekend.

2. Since TMPS is so small, yet publicly traded, the good news would be out for everyone to be well aware by the time that trading would reopen on Monday.

3. March 31 is supposed to be the contract start date.

I have no idea whether the Navy would even consider factors like these, however.
