Not trying to promote E*TRADE but I have been using there platform for over 10 years and have never been charged transfer fees. The funds transferred from my bank to my E*TRADE account are available immediately for purchasing and can be transferred back to main bank three days later if you so choose. I haven’t heard anything about them changing hands so I cannot comment on that.
