Dr. Birx, of the White House Coronavirus Task Force described the EXACT type of test that PRED discussed in its press release during the White House Cornavirus briefing tonight. Toward the end, in answer to a question, she said (paraphrasing here) that the FDA was inviting applications and was reviewing several tests that were IgG/IgM serology tests, where a drop of blood on a slide could be analyzed in 15 minutes, to detect the presence of CV-19 antibodies.

To answer the person who was afraid the test would be too late, understand that this is the cheap test that would be used on the general population, that will show who has already been exposed and has antibodies, so they can safely go back to work, and not worry about catching the virus. The market for this is not the number of people who are sick-- it's the other 300 million-plus who are NOT sick.

A huge addressable market and the government will be subsidizing, if not paying for this testing, to get people back to work.

I really don't see the fact that the supplier is in China as a problem, at this point. After all, about 90% of our drugs are made in China anyway. It's not ideal, but this is not the time the government is going to stop importing something as important as this kind of test.

I think PRED is right on the money with this test. It's HUGE!!
