You missed the best part. As the story goes, Offor and friends own ALL the erhe shares. (But for some strange reason haven't taken the company private lol). So ALL the multi-billion shares sold short in the made up secret accounts are naked shorts. Unless of course the implication is that not only is Offor breaking the law by not disclosing his position, he is also dumb enough to keep 3 billion shares in street name thereby allowing these made up shorters to borrow his shares and drive the value of his shares down to almost zero.

By any measure, the whole story is so ridiculous it makes any mention of these secret foreign shorters moot.
