IMHO, they kept the CTs alive instead of switching them to the OBS for a couple of reasons. One main reason is that the interests and whateverdistributions that the CTs would have been entitled to since the beginning of the POR is all being relayed up to the higher classes of creditors. I don't think that if they would have converted the Cts to equity and turned them over into the OBS that this could have been possible. I might be wrong though.
