I own my own business and I’m a physical therapist. I treat people in their homes after they get discharged from hospitals and rehab centers.

Though they were never tested, I believe some of my patients have already had it. It’s the flu on steroids.

I understand why we need to slow this freight train down, as our healthcare system would be overwhelmed by a tsunami of patients. But I agree, I can’t imagine a scenario where sooner or later we’re not all getting exposed to it.

The vast majority will survive. A certain percentage of the elderly and medically frail may not. And, yes, there will be some outliers that succumb to it as well.

This is God/the universe/whatever you want to believe performing checks and balances on our species. It has periodically always been a part of our history, and I suspect it will always be a part of our future.

Let’s all make an extra effort to try and be good to each other during this challenging time. Do something nice for someone, preferably a stranger (at a distance), for no reason whatsoever.
