Can't argue with that. That's why at the time I bought those $5 Liberty halves they were equal price to a quarter ounce gold eagle. I prefer older U.S. circulated coins to new gold eagles. Not because they are better or worse I just like them.

I now see a one ounce gold eagle at $115 over spot. Some dealers I've seen are putting a limit on how much you can buy. Silver eagles are not the only product they are out of. Looks like higher graded coins like BU and AU Morgans and Peace Dollars are sold out.
