October 7, 2003 10:02am

INDUSTRY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 7, 2003--Northgate Innovations Inc. (OTCBB:NGTE) today announced that Northgate's brand new AMD Athlon™ 64 systems will be immediately available at Staples and Costco through both retailers' Web sites at www.staples.com and www.costco.com.

Northgate's products will feature the state-of-the-art AMD Athlon™ 64 3200+ processor, and include 1 GB of DDR memory and a 160 GB hard drive.

"We are very excited to be able to support this state-of-the-art new technology in collaboration with AMD and some key retail customers," stated Bob Anderson, vice president of Business Development at Northgate. Anderson continued, "These brand new products continue to demonstrate Northgate's commitment to offering its customers products at the forefront of the market."

The AMD64 architecture provides world-class performance on today's pervasive 32-bit applications and tomorrow's 64-bit PC applications. The personal computing experience is changing, becoming more interactive with better graphics and more digital media. This "cinematic computing" creates a natural demand for 64-bit systems and software.
